Gerard Way has been added to the speaker lineup for the Las Vegas Emerge festival.
The 42-year-old former My Chemical Romance frontman will participate in the festival's conversations section, along with Grammy-winning producer Rob Cavallo, Julie Mintz and Kiara, at the Hard Rock Hotel on May 31.
Way shared the news on Instagram, saying, "Excited to be part of @emergelv Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas! Please come join the festivities. Full schedule and tickets are available at www.emergelv.com #emergelv #morethanafest."
Way is the author of the comic series, "The Umbrella Academy."
Emma Gonzalez and David Miles Hogg, gun control advocates and survivors of the Marjory Stoneman-Douglas High School shootings, will also speak at the two-day "music and impact" festival, which is into its second year.
